Bladimir was reluctant to be photographed because he hadn’t shaved. He even pulled out a disposable razor from his pocket to show me. In hind sight, I wish I had asked him to pose with the razor, but the word for Razor in Spanish escaped me and I had already used up a day’s worth of hand gestures and horrible Spanish explaining I wanted to take his picture and not the other way ’round. ©Katarina Kojic
